Tropical Nature Board

The board of Tropical Nature apparently does not meet that often. The terms of all board members expired in 2006, but no one seemed to care. Both Charlie Munn and Rich Devane also serve on the board of Tropical Nature Travel, which raises conflict of interest questions.

Charlie Munn: Chairman. See the chats to get a better picture of Mr. Munn.

Richard Devane: Treasurer. Munn's college roomate. In the past he received payments from Tropical Nature in violation of non-profit good practices.

Daniel Blanco: Secretary. Munn owns the mortgage on Blanco's house, has been Blano's primary source of income for his entire adult life, and at one point Munn even gave Blanco's wife a car that was owned by a non-profit!

Elyssa Kellerman: former Secretary. Ms. Kellerman hails from New York City and has attended only two board meetings in her first five years on the board.

Mark Ginsburg: former board member. A donor from Florida who was among the more motivated board members at one time, Dr. Ginsburg resigned when Munn and Borg so angered the Anangu Community that they and Tropical Nature were evicted from the Napo Wildlife Center project (see the chats).
